Mirion Technologies to Provide Radiation Monitoring Systems for the Mochovce Nuclear Power Plants in Slovakia
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Mirion Technologies Radiation Monitoring Systems (RMS) Division announced that it has received an order to supply a full suite of monitors for the Mochovce 3 & 4 radiation monitoring systems. Both nuclear power plants are VVER 440 reactors and owned by the Slovakian energy company Slovenske Elektrarne a.s.
The Mirion equipment includes over 350 radiation monitors and supporting processing electronics from the MGP Instruments(TM) RAMSYSTM product line, covering all aspects of radiation monitoring including several types of monitors that conform to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program. These systems will be installed over the next two years by VUJE a.s., Mirion's local design and engineering partner on this project.
