Mirion Technologies to Provide Wireless Remote Monitoring System to South Korean Nuclear Power Plant

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Mirion Technologies Health Physics Division has been awarded a contract to supply a wireless remote monitoring (WRM) teledosimetry system to the Shin Wolsung 1 nuclear power plant in South Korea operated by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.

The WRM2, from Mirion's MGP Instruments product line, is a Multi-Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum teledosimetry system for remote personnel and area monitoring applications. This compact, ruggedized system offers the flexibility of indoor or outdoor applications. The system provides high visibility LED, audible and vibration alarm indications for increased worker awareness within radiological environments and is compatible with the MGP Instruments line of air monitors and portable instruments.
