Mirion Technologies Releases New Compact Color Inspection and Surveillance Camera
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Mirion Technologies Imaging Systems Division announces the release of the IST-Rees C983 pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera. The new camera system is designed to provide improved viewing performance and real-time data in difficult and hazardous environments.
Based on the IST-Rees C981 camera design, the C983 PTZ is a sealed, underwater-capable, high-performance compact color system designed for in-air or underwater applications where space is at a premium. Integrated within the camera is a micro-controller which supports many additional features including position feedback, temperature monitoring and optional dosimetry function for radiation environments. Driving the system is a camera controller that provides the user with direct control and integrates fully and cost-effectively with other multi-camera systems, including Mirion's line of IST-Rees radiation tolerant R981 cameras.
"The C983 PTZ delivers high performance, flexibility and reliability for color inspection and surveillance requirements in hazardous environments," said Ken Neal, President of the Imaging Systems Division. "Our customers can use the integrated micro-controller to monitor the camera's functionality to improve efficiency during deployments."
