Mirion Technologies Releases Next Generation Hand/Foot/Clothing Contamination Monitor

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mirion Technologies Health Physics Division announces the release of the Rados HandFoot-Fibre(TM) hand/foot/clothing radiation contamination monitor. The new monitor recently debuted during the 18th annual Mirion Technologies User Group Conference.

Part of Rados' CheckPoint:Body(TM) product line, this next generation monitor incorporates patented BetaFibre(TM) scintillation detector technology, eliminating the need for expensive gas connections which are difficult to maintain. Ideal for situations not requiring a full-body monitor, the HandFoot-Fibre(TM) is suitable for a variety of applications due to the combination of alpha/beta or beta/gamma detection. A graphical user interface featuring a touch screen provides overall ease of use, while PC-supported measurement electronics enable networking capabilities.

"Our BetaFibre(TM) technology is among the most advanced detector technologies available, seeking to optimize the balance between performance and cost," said Antony Besso, President of Mirion's Health Physics Division. "We are now extending this technology into a variety of area contamination monitors within our CheckPoint:Area(TM) product line."
