Mirion Technologies Awarded Multiple Certifications for Nuclear Component Construction

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Mirion Technologies Sensing Systems Division announced today that their Cambridge, Ontario facility has been awarded a Certificate of Authorization by the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) for the construction of nuclear fittings in accordance with CSA Standard N285 for Canada Deuterium Uranium (CANDU) Reactors.

The Sensing System Division also recently received renewals on its American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) N (nuclear) and NPT (nuclear partials) certification stamps at their North American production facility located in Buffalo, New York. The facility has held the ASME N and NPT certificates of authorization since 1974. ASME N and NPT certifications are required for components of safety critical applications in nuclear power plants. Earning the N and NPT certifications require strict adherence to a rigid quality control system.

"We are proud of our achievements and demonstrated adherence to the Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards in our commitment to deliver the highest levels of quality and satisfaction to our customers," commented Iain Wilson, President of the Sensing Systems Division.

Mirion's Sensing System Division is recognized as a global leader in manufacturing in-core and out-of-core radiation detectors, electrical penetrations and control components.
