Mirion Technologies to Showcase New Product Offerings for the Nuclear Industry During 10th Annual China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition

SAN FRANCISCO, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Mirion Technologies, the leading global provider of detection, measurement, and analysis solutions in the radiation protection industry, will showcase two new products at the 10th annual China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition in Beijing from March 25th - 28th.

Mirion's Health Physics Division will feature its highly regarded TwoStep(TM) Exit Body Contamination Monitor. The TwoStep Exit monitor is a new breed of body monitors that checks for beta contamination on personnel leaving the controlled areas of nuclear facilities. "The TwoStep provides superior performance by combining radically improved geometry, with advances in BetaFibre(TM) detector technology," stated Antony Besso, President, of the Health Physics Division. "The result is a new generation gas-free body monitor which allows customers to substantially reduce their total operating and maintenance costs." The TwoStep Exit has already been purchased by numerous leading utilities in North America, Europe, and Asia, including Electricité de France, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group and China Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation (CNEIC).

Also featured will be the ALLRAD Mk2 inspection camera from the Imaging Systems Division. The newly designed ALLRAD Mk2 incorporates several new features which enhance the performance of this respected camera platform. Among the enhancements, a new lighting package consisting of an on-board LED array with split control to improve scene contrast. An optional high-powered lighting body is also available, increasing the viewing capability for the camera over a greater distance. "The advanced capabilities added to the ALLRAD Mk2 introduce more flexibility into an already proven inspection platform, used in today's most demanding environments including radiation and high temperature settings," stated Ken Neal, Director Sales & Marketing, of the Imaging Systems Division.
