Mirion Technologies Expands Operations in Tennessee, Bringing 60+ Job Openings to Oak Ridge

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mirion Technologies, Inc. (“Mirion”), a leading provider of detection, measurement, analysis and monitoring solutions to the nuclear, defense, medical and research end markets, today announced two upcoming job fairs to support the expansion of its Oak Ridge operations.

The job fairs will take place at the new Oak Ridge facility located at 104 Union Valley Road on Tuesday, September 28 from 2pm to 5pm and Saturday, October 2 from 10am to 2pm.

Over 60 positions are available spanning a wide range of skills and requirements including Assemblers, Lab Technicians, Supervisors, Engineers, and Physicists. The Oak Ridge campus is increasing its local footprint to support manufacturing and operations for the Mirion Dosimetry Services Division (DSD) in addition to its existing Detection and Measurement Division (DMD) operations.

“Well-known in the radiation industry for its innovation and automation, the Oak Ridge site is an established facility that will allow DSD to improve manufacturing capabilities, reduce product turn-times, and maximize supply chain relationships,” says Lou Biacchi, President of the Mirion Dosimetry Services Division. “The new location will also provide the necessary room to grow that will better position our dosimetry business for the future.”

Dosimetry operations in Oak Ridge are anticipated to begin in November 2021. Recruitment and hiring to staff the new location are ongoing.
